I'm a 20-something-feeling-30-something based in Michigan where I live with my family. The reason I started this blog was to create a place to help authenticity, humility, and redemption flourish.

 

I have always loved writing prose-poetry and hope to someday be a published author. Which is why I want to be able to write for fun (duhhhh). Currently, while I dream away, I am working at a coffee shop (childhood dream come true), creating authentic friendships, and embracing the unknowns of where life is leading (and man it is so hard to take baby steps when I'd like the whole picture please!).

 

Aside from that I am very dedicated to my faith as a believer in Christ. This blog is hopefully a place where I can talk about whatever (fun recipes even?), but most definitely my faith will be the main talking point. I want to be raw and warning: sometimes being raw is not "beautiful" by the world's standards. So, my faith won't always look the way it is expected to. But, it will look the way it is for me--even if the way it is isn't "perfect" or right. I want to be someone who shines a light on the dirty places and says, "hey this may not be okay, but it is here. and we can clean it up while we love each other through it". Hence, authenticity and humility, with a redeeming plan.

When I'm not writing or brewing up someone's cup of Joe, I can be found developing my next food fixation (strict dietary needs) or binge watching the most brain-dead tv shows known to man (at least that's what my brother claims).

 

I'm not really gifted in this whole "talk about yourself in some glamorous way" thing, so that's about all I've got.
